Thsi is an excellent exposure of the new thinking regarding work spaces - "office" seems too limiting a term - for the current and future knowledge worker. Good explanation of basic concepts, evolution of spaces, trends, with lots of examples in pictures. The ubiquitous cubicle is on the way out, and good riddance. I got this book thinking that by now I would have had time to read it. Well, still trying to find the time.
I liked the idea of having s New kind of design evolution in our office spaces. But writers did not elaborate on many ideas that he represented. And the examples seem a bit unrelated mainly due to lack of description about how they r matched with the ideas.
This short book truly amazed me. It is refreshing and very readable. I highlighted sections in almost every single page!
This is nothing like you would expect. Each concept is well thought out with the perfect illustrations. Great book! I would recommend it to anyone looking to create an inviting, memorable work space.
More for larger scale offices. I could use a few ideas for my smaller offices. Glad to see some ideas for new technology.
This book is a free quick book that is to the point. Offices are changing and much of that revolves around culture. Companies must determine what their Culture is. Designers can then help them create the proper spaces for thier office. I recommend reading this book if you own a company or you are a designer. It is a great starting point.
