This is a delightful book. I do not normally read poetry, and actually do not enjoy reading it. This book is totally different; it is more of a prose type poetry. And the stories resonated with me. I enjoyed them immensely. Highly recommend this book for those who do remember the 50s, 60s, and 70s. It would even be of interest to folks that are younger; a view of how things changed.Product details

A great read, even for those who do not like poetry!
Bartholomew's poems are each one a small universe, completely populated with real people, real feelings, respectfully, compassionately, and clearly described. She gives one a sense of being there, wherever she is in the poem. "Halfway Home" is an excellent example of her skill. So delightful to have a whole book!
